Mintaka- Delta Orionis - Arabic word for belt
Alnilam - The Amazon Star - Belt of Pearls
Alnitak - Zeta Orionis - The Girdle
Alnitak,
Alnilam, and
Mintaka, are the bright bluish stars from east to west (left to right) along the diagonal in this gorgeous cosmic vista. Otherwise known as the
Belt of Orion, these three blue supergiant stars are hotter and much more massive than the Sun. They lie about 1,500 light-years away, born
of Orion's well-studied interstellar clouds.

the reason i posted this was becos they are the 3 most prominent stars that i can spot easily wherever i am. in australia, singapore or everywhere around the world.
so the next time if anyone of u misses me. heh. search for the 3 them!
cos we'll be looking the e same stars even tho we're 2432 miles away. and might even be looking at them at the same time. this way. i feel closer to home. just a little bit. just a little bit.
